Regulators

Liaising with regulators

In carrying out its operations, the College will need to liaise with various regulators and government instrumentalities. Depending on the issue, the legislation and regulations, and the relevant government body, liaising with regulators is generally done by one of the following officers:

Academic Dean – ASQA, DET, CRICOS
General Manager – ACPET,
Head of Student Services – DIBP, PRISMS

In particular, the Academic Dean is responsible for liaising with state and federal agencies in relation to the College’s registration as a Registered Training Organisation and as a CRICOS provider, and the accreditation of its courses. The Academic Dean is especially responsible to:

Advise ASQA when training has commenced outside the state of registration within 21 days of commencement and within 3 months of ceasing delivery.

Provide details upon the request of ASQA, of all operations within its scope of registration including operations in other States or Territories and outside Australia.

Advise and provide information to ASQA / CRICOS of any prospective and actual changes to ownership of the College, and to the College’s high managerial agents, as soon as practicable prior to the change occurring or, in the case of change to managerial agents, within 10 days of an actual change.

Seek approval from ASQA / CRICOS prior to implementing changes to course duration.
